When visitors enter my place, the most common reaction I get is surprise that the pottery is made in-house and that they are invited into the studio to see the work being made.
For me, it's all part of my studio practice, a circle that begins with making the work, and flows on to meeting visitors, explaining my process and helping them select a piece to take home. It's so interesting to see how people react to new collections and I often gain insights that help me improve my designs and explore new avenues.
I love connecting with studio visitors and we often stay in touch long after they've traveled on down the road. They later will shop online, commission a special order or plan a studio visit on their next stop in Cambria.
All who encourage, inspire and support my work are "Studio Friends" and I am grateful for all. Thank you!
