Scottish Thistle - symbol of strength, protection and healing - is the star in this stoneware platter that does double-duty as a display piece and serving ware.
I threw the piece on the potter's wheel and later etched it in my "woodcut" style. Glazes are food-safe, non-toxic and lead-free.
